She can do this in two ways. One way would be by indirect methods such as her shadow attacking someone else's shadow. She can also melt into the shadow and use them as doorways. She'd gladly help out a mutant in need and do what she can for them. Loving and warm she likes to inspire hope in them and feels sad when they get discouraged. Nyx would do anything within reason to see the advancement of the mutants and likes to see herself as a beckon of encouragement to them. Now when it comes to humans she is anything but caring and warm. Nyx despises humans and looks own on them as scum. However to some degree she is thankful to humans because they helped create mutants. However as the mutants flourish more and more her dislike of humans grow. Nyx has a tendency to be secretive keeping things to herself. This has caused issues multiple times but she still does it. The reason for this is Nyx doesn't have complete trust in anyone, not even the mutants. Her intentions are revealed only half way and she steers people off course to keep them from guessing at what those intentions are. appearance Nyx appears as a dark skinned human with black short and messy hair and vibrant blue eyes that have a warm glow to them but become sharp when angry. She is of average fitness with a generous amount of chest and wears a pair of black shorts and a black halter top all covered up by a black overcoat that goes just past her shots. She wears a red sash around her neck and a pair of black thigh high boots. Whenever she's walking Nyx always has her hands in her pockets. She walks with a fluid stride. One movement transcends into another. You can see in her movement and face whats she feeling but she only shows so much. In her deity form Nyx has grows claws, fangs, and her ears become pointed. Nyx's eyes become a light purple and her pupils are slits. She has black hair tipped with white, short and spiky styled. Her outfit is a one piece that has a raised collar, bell shaped sleeves that hang off past the elbow, and the hem of the outfit reaches her mid thighs to form shorts, the entire outfit is made of leather. She walks bare foot with an ankle bracelet around her left ankle. history Nyx was brought about via the worship of a cult in ancient times like most gods. When she was created humans were intriguing to her she never rally felt anything for them, just that they were curious things that prayed to her for help. Over the years she began to see how hideous humans were and grew to loath them. However she granted them power with hope that they could change their ways. Each and every time she saw what they could with the abilities she granted to them in terms of destruction and lost a little faith every time. After awhile she began to give power to those only truly worthy but she still despised them. It was her duty as a goddess that kept her granting powers. Later on Nyx began to notice the creeping conflict between Gaia and Cymopoleia. She saw how they went at it about everything but opted to stay out of it. It wasn't until things got truly serious that Nyx decided to step in. The Goddess of Night tried to offer help but nothing seemed to work and eventually another god persuaded her to cease with her intervention. So in the end Nyx watched as the tension between Gaia and Cymopoleia grew and as a result caused natural disasters around the world. And eventually, The Flood. Nyx was surprised at what the feud had done. She never expected the humans to come back at all. But once again persuaded by the other gods she gave her blood in order to create the mutants. It turned out Nyx had great maternal instincts toward the mutants and now wants to help them live better lives and to move out from under the human's scorn.
